Lichens of Lough Corrib

In Area 2 we found many different coloured lichens in which there were some combinations of colour. We found white lichen with black spots (but now we believe that this is another form of the Crab eyes lichen with black spores). but we only found one different growth form.

Crustose. In this form we found many different colours. There were; Gray, brown, orange, pure white, greeny-blue, browny-orange, yellow and white, white and black, pink and black, yellow and again the common Crab eyes lichen.
